Smile Analysis

The appearance of your smile can affect how others think about you and how you feel about yourself. You may even take steps to hide your teeth because you feel embarrassed about how they look. Our doctors may be able to help, and we ask that you look in a mirror and analyze your smile with the following questions:

Cosmetic Dentistry Options

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin ceramic shells bonded to the front of teeth, ideal for improving your smile due to their simplicity and versatility. Each set is custom-designed to match and enhance your smile, requiring both technical skill and cosmetic detail. Once bonded, these ultra-thin veneers are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to stains like coffee, tea, or cigarettes. Their strength and natural appearance closely resemble healthy enamel, making them a top restorative option. With proper care, veneers can last over a decade.

Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is a safe, quick, and cost-effective way to achieve a brighter smile. Whitening corrects discoloration from aging, staining, or chemical damage. You can choose to whiten just the upper teeth or both upper and lower, depending on your smile. Using a custom mouth guard and whitening gel at home over 3 nights to 3 weeks, most patients see a dramatic improvement. It works on all ages and provides a near-permanent solution to dull or discolored teeth. For severe stains, crowns or veneers might be a better option.

02

Inlays and onlays

Inlays and onlays are used when more than half of a tooth’s surface is damaged. Made of porcelain, gold, or composite resin, they are bonded directly to the tooth—an inlay fits within the cusps, while an onlay covers one or more cusps. The procedure takes two appointments: first, the damaged area is cleaned and an impression is taken for the lab; second, the custom piece is bonded and polished. Inlays and onlays are stronger than traditional fillings and can increase tooth strength by up to 75%, lasting 10 to 30 years. Onlays are a great alternative when full crowns aren't necessary.

03

Dental bonding

Dental bonding is a procedure where a tooth-colored resin is applied and hardened with a special light to restore or improve a smile. It’s used to repair cavities, chipped or broken teeth, close gaps, lengthen teeth, replace silver fillings, or protect roots exposed by gum recession. The surface is roughened, prepared, and shaped before the resin is hardened and polished. Bonding is one of the easiest and least expensive cosmetic procedures, often done in one visit with minimal enamel removal. However, it’s less durable than veneers or crowns and may chip or discolor over time.
